Success and Happiness

It's been a long week. Many of my local friends know how busy I have been over these last few years between college classes, graduation, raising children, renovating the house, building the new shop, and of course, working with customers and new clients. This last detail takes up pretty much most of my daily routine, it's a full time job. I don't think even my own lovely husband realizes this until he either comes home from work to see that I am in the shop with a client, or he comes home from his job, to see that his woman is still working in the shop to finish up consultations, emails, whipping up a batch of new oils or baths, OR packaging up orders to be picked up the next morning by the postal guy. Owning your own business is hard work, sure this is fun work, doing magickal work everyday, whether it's a consultation, or a simple tarot reading, or downright ritual work for a client, it is indeed work. With it comes dedication, careful attention, outlining details, coordinating schedules between clients works, and a hundred other multitasking events. On Sundays, like this fine Sunday here, I like to take at least one day off to reflect on the weeks adventure, the trials, the successes, and the lessons taught to my clients. I take this time to look over notes for each case, prepare for the upcoming week. So technically, I suppose, Sunday's aren't really my off days. Lol. That's Ok, because when you love your job, you don't mind the 7 day work days. This isn't about staying home daily to tend to burning some candles, or crafting some neat stuff for customers. I spend about 2 days of the week, gathering and collecting materials, hunting down new suppliers locally, making communications with the local shop keepers here for fresh herbs or vigil candles, animal curios, etc. I drive to pick up these things, and then the trips at least once a week for my package supplies just to save my customers money on the price they would have to pay if I had these supplies shipped to me. Yes, on Sundays, I look forward to seeing happy customers from the week prior because they know how hard this girl works for them to make sure they have the best. If business is slow, I don't brood, I see this as a time that God has made it a point to show me that I need this time to direct my attention to possible neglected areas, such as, have I given my daughter enough snuggles and book time, is my husband getting everything he needs to be happy and content, or to reflect on new projects coming up. I am happy this way, knowing that I can take care of my loved ones, and my customers. This is fulfilling to me, spiritually, emotionally, mentally. I am grateful for what the Universe has provided for me. Hard work pays off. These things are important to me. Money pays the bills, but in this life, we don't take money to our death with us. When our time has come, we should have fulfilled our life with what makes us truly happy and whole, a purpose, a mission completed.
Life is good, life is wonderful. Cherish those closest to you, live everyday as if it's your last. As cheesy as it sounds, this is good advice on how to live happy and bring forth the positive energies in our own universes. :)
